Financial Assistance

• U.S. citizens and qualified non-citizens are eligible to receive federal student loans through the Federal Direct Loan Program, which includes the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan and Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan.

• Beyond securing financial aid or loans, Ross Med offers scholarships and grants to those who apply and qualify to help offset some of the costs of our MD program. Scholarships and grants valued at over $100 million (USD) have been awarded to students since 2020.

• We believe so strongly in your success that we are offering a Tuition Back Guarantee if you don’t pass. you must complete the entire first semester, including final exams. Only tuition is included in this guarantee—any fees and other expenses and/or charges are excluded.

New, first-time matriculating MD students who complete semester 1, including final exams, and do not advance to semester 2 because they earned a failing grade in a semester 1 course/modules required for advancement are eligible for the guarantee. Students eligible for the guarantee receive a reimbursement of tuition based on the following formula: tuition assessed minus institutional scholarships or grants received. Please note, only tuition is included in this guarantee, any fees and other expenses and/or charges are excluded.

Yes! Ross Med students may qualify for federal student loans through the U.S. Department of Education.
Is Ross University School of Medicine accredited?

Ross University School of Medicine is an accredited medical school, determined by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions (CAAM-HP, www.caam-hp.org).

CAAM-HP is the legally constituted body established in 2003 under the aegis of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), empowered to determine and prescribe standards and to accredit programs of medical, dental, veterinary, and other health professions education on behalf of the contracting parties in CARICOM.

Accreditation by CAAM-HP is a rigorous, peer review process which examines all aspects of a medical program. The CAAM-HP board, an independent and autonomous body of professionals, only certifies medical schools which are operating at the highest levels of industry standards.

Through this accreditation, the CAAM-HP provides assurance to medical students, graduates, the medical profession, healthcare institutions and the public that programs leading to qualifications in medicine meet appropriate national and international standards for educational quality, and that the graduates have a sufficiently complete and valid educational experience.

Will I be able to practice in the U.S.?
Yes. Ross Med students are eligible to take all of the USMLE by registering with the ECFMG and are eligible to apply for licensure in all states in the United States.
What is required to apply for the MD program?

Ross Med’s admissions requirements include:

  • Completed prerequisite coursework, all of which cannot be more than 10 years old
  • A bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) or higher
  • Submission of your Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) scores
