Ross Med MD Program Timeline

We strive to create well-trained, professional, and compassionate physicians who put their patient’s health first.

In your first and second years, you’ll master your nerves through high-fidelity clinical simulations and by working with real patients throughout the Barbados community. These years prepare you for the clinical rotations starting in year three. Your third and fourth years are dedicated to refining your medical knowledge and skills as you discover your specialty. You will spend your clinical years at one or more of our affiliate teaching hospitals in the U.S.

Canadian medical students abroad often continue their medical careers in Canada after completing their medical education at Ross Med. As a Ross Med graduate, you’ll be eligible for Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates® (ECFMG®) certification and can apply for Canadian and U.S. residencies and licensure.

Start Strong, Early On

At Ross Med, we believe early hands-on learning gives students the experience and confidence to achieve. Immerse yourself in learning the practice of medicine, gain experience in simulation labs, and train alongside physicians, caring for patients in the community within weeks, not months.
